Chrome bookmarks are a useful feature that allows you to increase your productivity by providing easy access to particular websites. You do not need to make repeated searches when you visit the same websites. But, what will you do if you have accidentally deleted your bookmarks? Sync issues and profile corruption are other reasons behind the removal of bookmarks. However, Chrome offers different ways to restore them. You may also use third-party software for this purpose. Let us provide a brief guide on how to recover deleted bookmarks Chrome.

Various methods for restoring bookmarks in Google Chrome

There are multiple ways to retrieve the deleted bookmarks in Chrome.

    Choose the Undo option-

When you delete a bookmark accidentally, Chrome lets you recover it with the Undo option. But, this option will appear only for a few seconds. By pressing Ctrl + Z, you will be able to recover the bookmark. This is the simplest option if you have recently deleted a bookmark unintentionally.

Take advantage of the Local Backup File-

Google Chrome automatically generates a backup file, known as Bookmarks.bak. You need to press the key combination Win + R and type %localappdata%. Press Enter and go to the User Data from Chrome. Access both files and click the Delete the Only Bookmarks file. The bookmarks.bak needs to be renamed as Bookmarks.

Use third-party software for bookmark recovery-

You can install PandaOffice Drecov data recovery software to restore your bookmarks deleted from Chrome. Open the application and choose the drive where you have stored the Chrome data. Hit the Scan Now option to start recovery. DRecov will start searching for deleted files, such as your Chrome bookmarks.

After a successful scan, select the filtering option and find the Chrome bookmark files. Bookmarks.bak files will appear, allowing you to recover them easily. You may store the restored bookmarks in any folder.

    Conclusion

There are different ways to retrieve your bookmarks in Google Chrome. But, to increase the chance of recovery, you may rely on Drecov. This premium application is available at a reasonable rate. It lets you recover various files from your storage units.
